Biopharma Trends 2018: Towards Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 represents the adoption of intelligent, data-driven approaches to manufacturing that are already bringing tangible advantages to other sectors.

But what about biopharma? Is Industry 4.0 all-empowering or all hype?

At Biopharma Trends 2018: Towards Industry 4.0, international experts from The Medicine Maker Power List, NIBRT, and the wider biopharmaceutical industry will come together to debate the feasibility of Industry 4.0 – and discuss elements of the fourth industrial revolution that are already making a mark on biopharma manufacturing.

What is Biopharma Trends?

In 2017, The Medicine Maker and Ireland’s National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) conducted a market research project to learn more about current manufacturing practices and trends in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Here are the results:

The conclusions drawn from the research led The Medicine Maker and NIBRT to collaborate on an exciting new conference series – Biopharma Trends – that will focus on the near future of biopharma manufacturing.

The inaugural conference – Biopharma Trends 2018: Towards Industry 4.0 - will take place November 13 & 14 in Cork, Ireland.

Cloud computing, big data, smart technology, integrated systems... Industry 4.0 is already here. But which elements can benefit biopharmaceutical manufacturing now and in the future? Join us at Biopharma Trends 2018: Towards Industry 4.0 to find answers – and ask questions.
